I LOVE preparing exhibitions: choosing the pictures, printing and framing them, calculating distances precisely, climbing ladders & adjusting the light, making mistakes, finding solutions, seeing things in new ways and finally… opening to the public, being a little scared and just letting things live on their own.

And of course, ignite in-person conversations, connections and thoughts.

Here are some behind-the-scenes pictures of the preparation and opening of the exhibition “Eufraat, Erfgoed, Eeuwigheid” at Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam, in which we presented 12 portraits from Syrian Eyes of the World!

Once again, thanks again Victor van DrielenGijs Schunselaar and all the team from the museum, it’s been an extremely enjoyable and smooth journey to collaborate on this exhibition in honour of Maurits van Loon with you.

Finally, I’m so lucky to have friends and colleagues like Josef Helie and Khaled Alwarea who are the best to work with. I couldn’t thank you enough for your dedication, your creativity and your generosity.
